Enys Gardens Enys is situated a few miles to the East of Penryn in Cornwall. The beautiful gardens are a genuine joy and the bluebells during spring are an eye to behold. The building have been left to rack and ruin but are slowy awakening from their slumber. The Bluebell festival in May is a joy and I was lucky enough to look around last Tuesday in the pouring rain. While this may have put some people off this was an opportunity to get the lovely misty shots I craved whilst also having the gardens to myself.

Yesterday we spent a wonderful day at the Westcountry Wildlife Photography Centre near Lifton in Devon. A managed space for Photographers to capture some of the native species to the UK. Truro Camera Club took the opportunity to practice taking these types of shots whilst hoping that this will help to develop skills that could be used outside of the confines of an enclosure. Judging by early results the club have captured some beautiful images and I would recommend budding wildlife photographers to use this as a way of building their skills sets. The Centres website can be seen in the link below http://wcwpc.co.uk
Competing on Photocrowd
Over the past 6 months I have been competing on the Photocrowd website https://www.photocrowd.com most competitions involve upto a 1000 photographers who come from all over the world. It's fascinating to see how you perform against stiffer competition. Over these months I have had a series of wins and top ten finishes. You can find my profile here https://www.photocrowd.com/photographer-community/29921/ where you will see on the 23rd of March 2018 I am the 88th ranked photographer and only recently have fallen out of the top 50. I have over 5500 followers on photocrowd which is growing daily. Thanks to everybody who takes the time to follow and comment on my images it's really appreciate.
